A SHIFT

The supervisors who operate A Shift are Lieutenant Julita Hutchins and
Sergeant Jerry Whitlock.

B SHIFT

The supervisors who operate B Shift are Lieutenant Chad Roution and
Sergeant Cova Lewis.

C SHIFT

The supervisors who operate C Shift are Lieutenant Jason Clark and
Sergeant Ashley Blevins.

D SHIFT

The supervisors who operate D Shift are Lieutenant Shawn McIlvoy and
Sergeant Grant Kinser.
Inside the walls of the Marion County Detention Center, there are 4 shifts that keep the jail running. Each shift consists of a Lieutenant, a Sergeant, and 5 full- time deputies. Safety and security are the number 1 priority of the Marion County Detention Center.
Training
  • Each employee in the jail goes through training to learn how to respond appropriately in any situation that is presented to them.
  • This training consists of 40 hours of classroom pre-service training, 80 hours of on-the-job training, and annually 40 hours of in-service training. As well as, taser, OC spray, firearms and CPR, and First Aid certifications.
